I know there are some sexual scenes, but the focus is more on drugs and violence. And while the children can skip the cut scenes there is still plenty of violence considering they have to kill a lot of bad guys. I didn't play with the content filter on so I don't know for sure what difference it makes. Violence, murder, torture, rape, drugs, family and friends being killed right in front of you, and slaughter of animals are some of the darker themes you encounter and have to do if you play the whole game and watch the cut scenes.
